Terms of Reference
Position: Chairman Regional Election Office
Major Tasks:
- Manage the regional election office;
- Direct the day to day activities of the regional election office;
- Work closely with the districts election offices;

- Assist in organizing training venues for the polling stations staff;
- Ensure that monthly and periodic financial statements are sent to NEC headquarters;
- Prepare periodic report of the activities of the election offices in the region;
- Maintain close working relationship with the representatives of the political parties and associations in the region and the regional authorities;
- Responsible for performing the duties assigned to him/her by the electoral law ( law No:20/2001);
Qualification & Experience
· Degree or diploma in Business Administration or equivalent;
· At least 2 years experience in management position;
· A strong commitment to being a team member;
· Demonstrated ability to deal with time pressure;
· Excellent communication and report writing skills;
· Functional competencies required: successful negotiator, active learner, strong leadership;
· Excellent knowledge of English language;
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft office.
